Drivers.
Dynamic, balanced-armature and other transducers are evaluated as parts of a complete acoustic system rather than from datasheet response alone.
Small-batch in-ear monitors developed through acoustic engineering, software-assisted tuning, digital manufacturing and measured iteration.
Starting in Bristol and growing one build at a time. We would rather build thoughtfully than quickly.
Hammer Craft treats the IEM as one acoustic system. Driver behaviour, crossover topology, acoustic damping, sound-tube geometry, chamber volume, venting and nozzle interaction are developed together.
The objective is to move from an intended frequency-response target to a physical build that can be measured, compared and refined.
Dynamic, balanced-armature and other transducers are evaluated as parts of a complete acoustic system rather than from datasheet response alone.
Electrical filtering is developed alongside the natural acoustic roll-off and interaction between individual sound paths.
Acoustic resistance, tubing and chamber behaviour can be used to control output, bandwidth and resonances.
Tube length, diameter, nozzle geometry, internal volume and venting all influence the resulting response.
The tuning system is designed around the relationship between the intended response, measured prototypes and the physical build parameters that created them.
Start with an intended frequency-response target rather than making random physical adjustments.
Driver balance, crossover values, acoustic resistance, tube dimensions, chambers and venting become controllable design variables.
Prototype measurements are compared with the target to identify where the physical result differs.
Each build adds information about how specific physical changes influence the measured response.
Hammer Craft's internal software is being developed to connect target response, measured output and physical design parameters.
As the build database grows, the system can help identify which acoustic and electrical changes are most likely to move a design toward its intended response.
No account is required. Create a target and compare it against measured Hammer Craft products. If an existing model is already close to what you want, we will show you that model first.
There are no technically correct answers. Choose what best describes your own listening preference.
Drag a control point vertically or use the ±0.1 dB controls.
The similarity score is a comparison aid, not a probability that two IEMs will sound perceptually identical.
You can experiment freely without an account. Login is only required when you want to save the target and attach it to a custom build.
Custom-fit builds use a guided image-capture workflow around each ear. Overlapping photographs are reconstructed into three-dimensional geometry and processed into a clean anatomical reference.
The reconstructed ear is not treated as the finished shell. It becomes the starting point for CAD development around fit, acoustic architecture and manufacturing constraints.
LEARN ABOUT CUSTOM FIT →Shell shape, internal routing and acoustic structures are developed within the same digital design workflow.
Print direction and support placement are chosen around surface quality, drainage and dimensional reliability.
Fine-layer resin printing makes complex external and internal IEM geometry practical.
Washing, curing, support removal, surface finishing and assembly complete the physical shell.
Prototype and product responses are measured so the physical result can be compared with the intended target.
Measured product response also powers the public tuning matcher, allowing a customer target to be compared against products that actually exist.
Define the intended acoustic response.
Develop acoustic architecture, internal geometry and the physical shell.
Manufacture the shell and assemble the acoustic system.
Compare the completed build against its intended target and iterate where needed.

Our approach is deliberately hands-on: develop the software, design the acoustic system, manufacture the shells, measure the result and learn from every build.
